Welcome to Redwood Falls, Oregon, a city located about an hour from the Pacific Coast and a day's trip to Salem. High Schoolers are sent to one of two rival schools, Dreamscape Academy and Drakeridge Academy. The difference between the two schools and the others in the country? Certain students posess powers.[/size][/blockquote]
Even though "magical" students and normal students peacefully interact with each other at each school, Dreamscape and Drakeridge have the biggest rival in sports and academics in the state. Students with powers are allowed to participate, but if their powers are used in competiton, consequences are severe.
Fall semester has began for both of the academies, only a new fear has struck both. Magical students are starting to lose their powers almost overnight, and several normal ones have ended up in the infirmary with severe injuries. Somebody is pulling the powers from other students and combining them to injure those who have never experienced magic before. Parents are becoming concerned, teachers are trying to figure out what's going on, and all the students, magical and nonmagical, are fearing for their lives.
