Making New Friends

[King Edlebur]

As the king was waiting for the three men he had summoned for he was eating some roasted pig the first to arrive was the third one in question the main reason why he had summoned Hawk and Axle. He knew those two will take a little longer to get there since they where at the training field, but did hope they would hurry up for he did have important business to talk to them about.

Shortly after Hawk arrived and sat down waiting for the last man to arrive which was Axle of course not that he is always late, but just the fact that the other two where already there and he usually is always the last one there.

As he took his time even though he could've beaten Hawk there still he didn't want to be the first one there just in case there was some kind of reason in which he needed to be there at that exact moment in short he was acting just like himself a rebel with a cause you might say. However the castle seemed to finally loom in front of him and he saw the trench that separeted the ground from where the foundation of the castle was it was the moat. The good thing was though that the drawbridge was still down and that and so he crossed with great ease and walked over the threshold of the gate in entering the castle grounds. He soon led from there to the chamber in which the King was meeting them in and saw that the king, the guy who came to call for them and Hawk as he sombered in quietly. He sank into a chair of hardwood and a soft cushioned seat settling himself there he was still wondering of what this meeting would be called for.

"Well I see I am the last one here, but now that I am shall we get this buggy off right?!"

As he said with a humor in his voice and easened slack in his limbs becoming comfortable in the chair and seeing the lengthy table in which they sat at coming in what seemed like an enlarged oval which would probably seat at least a dozen or two dozen men at the table itself quickly looking around at Hawk and the other guy as well as finally resting them upon the King himself he seemed to be in lax fitting clothes and a tight, yet comfortable elaborate suit of armor for protection and the usual thing which you never see him without around his brow the crown symbolizing that he was the King of Man!

"Now that everyone is here shall we get started" as he said that the food came in for the others in which to gorge themselves on getting nourishment for they had trekked a long journey to get there.. "Now I have something very important for you two this man here " as he pointed to the third whom the other two had no idea of who this guy was in all reality.

"He has a gift for the Dwarven king and this message as well!" as he waved for Hawk to come up. As he did he handed it to him "So what your mission is two selected a couple men to take with you and you are to escort this man to the dwarven capital, but i say no more then two for each of you anymore might draw unwanted attention. If you know what i mean and I have gifts for the two of you as well!" as he said that he waved his hand and in came a bunch of people bringing in nice magical-made weapons made by dwarfs some of the best humans could bear there was a great sword and longsword and a bow a dagger and a shield

"You each get to choose two!"

Sitting there comfortable and relaxed he awaited to see what was going to become of this meeting that was until it became fully aware of their mission as food was brought in for them which he was starting to feel like the humans ate too damned much for their own good without taking only a drink which was water and a few tiny morsels for he wasn't too hungry, but did it just to seem polite.

He sat there quietly letting the King say his piece in which was much to be heard for he had the floor and it was of most importance which meant that they where to pay close attention if the three of them where to notice the full ramifications of the mission. Seeing that this third person was a messenger and they where to escort him with a couple of their best fighters. Which he already had two in mind when he had said about it.

HOwever it came to the part in which they where to choose the gifts from the dwarves he was just fine with his own weapons, but his eye did fall upon was the Great Sword it was a beaut, but then again he was also partial to the bow for it looked like it could withstand his own strength however he didn't know of if it was three to the each of them, him and Hawk alone, but still he reached for the dwarvan-made Great Sword for one sword was good, two was great!

As Hawk took the longsword and shield that left axle with the bow when they where done with selecting there gifts. The king gave them each fat coin pouch's "Try and buy your self's some nice dwarvan clothes before you see the king to make a good impression on him. Now you guys will leave shortly, but you will have some time to set up things for your absence!"[/color] and with that the king dismissed them to get ready for the trip, but little did they know that there was a fourth person they didn't know was going and they weren't going to know until they leave!

he was glad that Hawk hadn't taken that bow for it looked like a beauty as well as being of good making as well. He wondered what kind of magic was intuned into this weapon he sure had his suspicions, but the only way he could surely know was to try it out for himself which he was going to do the first possible time he could!

Collecting that item only left a dagger in which no one knew who it would be to, but he thought that Hawk would want it for some extra protection or something like that, but he sat back now laiden with more weight which was no big for him, but he wondered how much room he had left in the pack which he had with him for oh so long as well as grabbing at the fat pouch of coins and pocketing it as well. Sitting down and taking a nice long drink of water wetting his throat now knowing that they had the kings' permission to leave and prepare for the journey ahead he wanted to finish what he had first and then he would be on his way to collect his things as well as to pick his two and to find someone to make his troops ready and at full fitting ready for the war in which was close to hand!

Hawk had gotten up and went to the yard he decided on something fun to decide on who he will take with him on this trip. He stood at on top of a platform "I am to go on a mission and I am to select two men to go with me. So what we are going to do is have tournament to see who will go with me!" He selected ten of his best soldiers not included his second in command for he was to stay here with the others and lead the training in his stead. The tournament was a good idea cause it gave them Pratrice and it was a fun way to decide as well as it boosting moral, all into one tourney.

Finally in finishing what food and drink he had he left for the room silently pulling and slipping through the doors as he went back to the yard to see of whom would be victorious in becoming the two whom he would take on the journey passing by the place he popped in his place to gather what he would need taking out the extra weapons he had taken from the ones who had tried to trap and kill them in the woods. It seemed he had just enough room for the new weapons putting them in as well as the money pouch and slipped an arm through the bindings as it was now secure on his shoulder.

He left the place placing the extra weapons somewhere where they would be safe from those who would try and steal from the place leaving he passed the tavern in which he met that man who seemed like he would be a good asset if the King found him. Finally he arrived at the yard seeing that his troops where being taught very well and so it seemed like Jade would be staying as his second in command and in keeping on with their training. However there was the thing of a tournament happening in which would find the two to accompany Hawk.

Therefore he thought he'd do the same and so they combined their numbers with Hawks' troops as they all where now going to be in the tournament the four who would be victorious would be the four leaving with Axle and Hawk and the other guy who in which they didn't really get a name on him as of yet. Now that they had all combined the rules would be informed to all of them from possibly the other guy whom was leading his own as Axle settled himself in standing not far from the same platform in which Hawk was standing on at that very moment.

Hawk nodded to Axle as he stood next to him not really caring if his men joined in the tourney. It didn't take long for the winners to be crowned Hawks winners were named Sean and Lesly. Sean was a tall man and very well, but like to be probably 260lbs. all no fat at all with long brown hair and green eyes as well Lesly was a short skinny women with long blonde hair. she was the best sword fighter, but she knew how to use a bow, she had won the archer contest after the tournament. Hawk went home to grab some gear and then head to where there where going to meet up with everyone his two winners where already there..

Watching the tournament kept on going he was looking for the values and qualities of what he needed for the journey at hand seeing everyone of his troops going toe to toe with Hawk's batch of better trained men. It seemed that Gable was doing a whole lot better and had lost that chip on his shoulder as well.

It also seemed that Jade was also doing good, but he couldn't take her if she won cause of being his official second in command however another was doing grand as well another girl tough, yet agile able to bend and weave like a blade of grass and shot a bow pretty good this had to of been the one whom he had given lessons too that one day for her aim had improved pretty well.

Still he kept an eye on each and every member of his group to see however it seemed Hawk's two had already been awarded to him for a man and a gal came up to where he and Hawk where standing being awarded and leaving to gather his gear. In the end he saw that the redhead with a strand of clear white in her hair as well as Gable who had worked on a uphill battle. He had definitely proven himself to have this spot as he awarded them with the privilege of coming with them as well as some coin for their so called winnings.

Before the three of them departed he pulled Jade aside for a mere second and went away from the other two as he gave her his final instructions for her to follow in training the troops which didn't take for long to give her for it was straight and blunt, but said in a calm friendly voice to her. In which he, Jessie, and Gable all went to the meeting place where Hawk and his two where awaiting him and his other two so they would start at the same time and the same point arriving at the rondeavuz point.

A boy in which all the others where not even noticeable of until that exact moment dressed in gold armor and a red flowing cape on his side a scabbard hung as the sun caught the crown on his head and the dark hair. His blue eyes looked at the others noticing that these where the party who would travel to the dwarven capital to present something to the king. A smile flashed on his face seeing that two of them where women and it looked like they had some experience for to be accompanied by the other two. Which he was familiar to Hawk, but not of the other the newcomer.

This must of been the one which his father had instead of killing him or imprisioning him was now about the same station as Hawk in order to be there. Then again he was mostly guessing within his own noggin coming ever so closer and seeing things more clearer than far away as the details came more into play as well as his own for on his back was a bag laidened with things for the trip which he knew what he himself would need for this journey as well as his favorite and most trusted bow.

Now that there where there they waited for the messenger to arrive so that they could get on there way as hawk waited he started to brush the horse and nodded to axle and his men as they arrived and then hawk went to the saddle bags and pulled out a flask of whiskey took a couple of swigs and then tossed the flask to axle and then waited till he gave it back and after axle gave it back hawk put it back into the saddle bag for where her took it and then and then started to look throw his bags and made sure that he had everything that he would need

As Axle recieved the flask with acceptance and took a swig of his own feeling the warmth go through him and then after stopping the flask he handed it back to Hawk. They where all there just waiting for the last one as his senses started to pick up a new scent in the air which wasn't familiar and not close as of yet, but coming his ears heard the footsteps of a horse as well as a being with two legs.

it caught his attention looking towards the compound as someone was approaching them in shimmering mail as well as a circlet of gold around his head this had to of been the final member of their excursion which meant they would be leaving as soon as that royal approached however that was when the person stopped and a steed saddled and bridled came as someone held the lead rope this had to of been one of the servants which where ordered to ready his steed.

Gable stood there looking at his gear making sure everything was filled and he wasn't forgetting anything which he needed of the trip taking the sword a inch away from the scabbard and then putting it back and then to his bow dry firing it making sure the string was strong and then looked around at the others for any sign of leaving or instruction as the other hand felt into the pocket where the bag of coins sat fiddling with them. The girl standing next to him just stood there with her gear on and her arms fastened folded across her beautiful proportioned chest as they all awaited to get on the move.

Jace walked a little farther when he looked to his right and saw someone come towards him holding a lavender lead rope and a black arabian with its gear on as well and saddlebags filled stopping the servant handed over the rope and with great pleasure nodded in saying.

"Thank you for carrying out the order I appreciate it hopefully everything that I will need will be good enough!"

With that the other man being younger and in the dressed fashion for his station climbing atop the four-legged beast and took hold of the reigns as he rode the rest of the way to the rest of his party the clopping of the horse's hooves echoed into the air finally reaching the others in which he pulled back the reigns minorly giving the signal for the horse to heed to his call to stop in which they had.

"Hello Sir Hawk and everyone else I am glad that we are to go in search for unity with our allies!"

The blue irises shifted to each person from the dark haired were, to the redheaded fiery one and then to the other man which was aligned with hawk and then flashed a smile to the two ladies which would be accompanying them.

Sir hawk looked up as the prince called his name and bowed slightly as he said "good day prince Eldebur i hope the days been good to you" after he said that he mounted his horse as did his men who but had bowed as well the female warrior blushed a bit as she say the prince and greeted him as well and letting him know how nice he had looked blushing again and then mounted her horse and then they where ready to leave and head to the dwarfs and then they started out on there trip now that everyone was there
